In one letter it says ..... BOAC have decided to have our VC10 aeroplane without the downstairs lounge. We are therefore reverting to the layout with the upstairs lounge. ..... This suggests that Eddy was already designing a 747 type aircraft way ahead of Boeing! I sent copies of the correspondence to the Brooklands Museum many years ago but never received any acknowledgement!!
