Aviation Books Database
An aviation book database on your desktop - that's what 'Bookfile' offers you. The database file allows you to search any field. The fields include title, author, publisher, publication date, ISBN number and keywords. Details of the contents of each title are included. Cataloging of your own book collection is made easy by use of other fields.
What's in it?
The database package consists of the basic .dbf and .dbt data files, plus display format files applicable to dBase III+ or Alpha4 for DOS, and Lotus Approach, Microsoft Access or Claris Filemaker Pro for Windows. Other database packages such as FoxPro can also use run dbase files, but no format display files are included. A version is also available for spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel, Lotus 1-2-3 or Quattro. Detailed instructions on how to use it are also included. These files have been compressed into a single zip file for faster downloading. Additional entries and corrections to existing entries will be available as update files.
What's it cost?
This is a shareware program - you must pay for it if you find it useful. The fee is fairly nominal. If you wish. you can compare your own book collection with the database entries and send me any corrections (via MIME file attachments), making the program more complete and more useful.
