Civil Aircraft Registrations
During the Belgian colonial era civil aircraft based in Belgian Congo/Congo-Leopoldville used the registration sequence of OO-Cxx, 1929-1960. Upon independence in 1960, the sequence 9O-xxx was used 1961-1962, before switching to 9Q-xxx in 1963. The latter sequence is still in use. During the 1960s some Congo Air Force aircraft used the sequence K-Axxx.
