Civil Aircraft Registrations
In the British colonial era civil aircraft based in Tanzania/Tanganyika used the registration sequence VR-TAA to VR-RZZ, 1929-1964, while aircraft in Zanzibar used the sequence VP-ZAA to VP-ZZZ over the same period. Upon independence the sequence 5H-xxx was adopted.
