'Flugzeug Extra'
[Unitec Medienvertrieb, ISSN ??, Euro8.60]
After the acquisition of the Flugzeug title by the GeraNova group in 2001 (see Flugzeug Classic above), its former staff launched a revamped Flugzeug Extra in October 2002, with a view to publishing a quarterly magazine from this year (2003). Billed as the `Magazine for Enthusiasts, Historians and Model-makers` it features a two-page "Newsletter", features on aircraft past and present, restoration projects and concludes with a build report and detailed expert advice on a particular aircraft kit.
A full English summary has been deleted and only English translations of photo captions retained.
Unitec, which also produces other specialist magazines, still holds the rights to the Flugzeug Profile and Flugzeug Archiv series and produces another entitled Cockpit Profile.

'Planet Aerospace'
[Residence Verlag GmbH, ISSN 1616-7880, Euro5.80/£3.70]
A relative newcomer (Issue 11 covers April-June 2003), this magazine is published in Germany, has its editorial offices in France, and appears in separate English, French, German and Spanish editions. Judging from just this one edition, its predominantly technical coverage of aeronautics, space and defence has a distinctly European flavour - C.160 Transall, Ariane rocket, Portuguese AF maritime operations. Airline operations also feature - in this case Air Tahiti. 74 pages in each issue.
