'Aero Historia'
[Hadtorteneti Muzeum es Kozlekedesi Muzeum, ISSN 0238-7905]
Published by the Hungarian Museum of Military History. First published in 1987 at a rate of twice a year, but became quarterly in 1992. Approx 50-60 pages each issue, with drawings and photos. It features historical articles on Hungarian aviation and aircraft. The same publisher has also produced a monograph series including the Li-2, MiG-15, IL-18 and Tu-154.

Launched in 1992. Originally called Aviator. The only independent high-quality aviation magazine with dual Hungarian and English language text. Published bi-monthly. It informs the public about the most up-to date and lesser-known events, facts of the international aviation, along with the historical and personal context. 68-84 pages in each issue, with more than 120 photos. Ceased publication in early 2007 after issue No.46? Publisher & Editor in Chief : Laszlo Angyal.

Title means Military Technology. Monthly magazine with the first issue published circa 1967. Covers all military equipment - including historical and current features on aircraft.

Launched in 1998. Bi-monthly publication. General modelling magazine covering aircraft, military vehicles, ships, sci-fi, Lego models, railway, figures, dioramas etc. Colour profiles in the center pages. News section. Good for modellers of any skill. Ceased publication in late 2002.

Title means Great Aircraft. First published in 1997. Quarterly publication. 48 pages each, with many drawings and colour profiles. Covers three aircraft types in each issue - usually from WW2 and including one Hungarian type. Ceased publication during 2001.

Launched circa 1998. Bi-monthly publication produced by authors who used to work on 'Modell s Makett'. General modelling magazine covering aircraft, military vehicles, ships, sci-fi, figures, dioramas etc. Well illustrated with good photos.

Title means Aviation. Monthly magazine published between 1948 and 1991. Covered Hungarian and foreign aviation, aircraft etc. Suffered badly from Cold War censorship, but sometimes included very good historical articles and 3-view drawings.

First published in 1991. Monthly magazine, 64 pages each issue, with many colour photos. Covers both Hungarian and foreign military aviation - historical and current - as well as some civil aviation. Was very popular until a number of authors left to launch 'Aranysas'. Now with new authors but much weaker editorial content. Ceased publication in late 2002.

Title means New Wings. Launched as a replacement for 'Repülés' in the early 1990s, but ceased publication some years later. Covered Hungarian and foreign aviation, aircraft etc.
