'AeroFan'
[AISA - Associazione Italiana per la Storia dell'Aviazione, ISSN ? ]

High quality aviation history magazine, concentrating on Italian-orientated subjects. Contained feature articles on civil and military aviation, WW1 and WW2 aircraft types, experimental aircraft, Italian civil register news etc. Published quarterly between January 1979 and 1990 by AISA, the former Italian branch of Air-Britain (the UK based international aviation historical society). Very well illustrated magazine, with 32 pages in each issue, including 2-4 colour pages and many photos. Italian text, with English captions and 2 page summary. Ceased publication in late 1990, when AISA disbanded, but relaunched by the editor as a stand-alone magazine mid-1996. See Aero Fan for more details of the relaunched version.

'Winglets'
[Clipper - Associazione Italiana Amici dell'Aviazione, ISSN ?]

The Associazione was first founded in 1995 by a group of civil aviation enthusiasts living around Milan's Malpensa Airport. In the same year they began publishing a 16 colour page A5 format bi-monthly magazine called 'Winglets', for Clipper members. The magazine mainly comprises the best photos of airliners taken by members.
At the same time, the members launched a monthly A4 format black & white newsheet, called 'Transponder', recording the association’s activities, airline news, interesting technical news etc. In January 1998, 'Transponder' was redesigned and now appears in full colour and in A3 (sic) format.

'Notizario di Plastimodellismo CMPR'
[CMPR - Club Modellismo Plastico Ravenna, ISSN ? ]

Published quarterly by the Ravenna plastic modelling society. A 32 page A4 size publication. The contents comprises club news, feature articles, book reviews, photo features etc. Includes good aircraft articles, including some multi-part features. The CMPR was founded in 1971.

'Ali Antiche'
[GAVS - Gruppo Amici Velivoli Storici, ISSN ?]

Title translates as 'Antique Wings'. Quarterly bulletin published in Rome since 1983 by The Friends of Historic Aircraft Group. It is the only Italian magazine entirely dedicated to historical aircraft, and features complete coverage of the preservation and restoration of old aircraft. Feature articles include stories, historic aircraft profiles, restorations and museums up-dates, new findings, books review. They also host the 4-page bulletin of the Italian Association of Mountain Pilots. The magazine is in Italian with many B&W pictures. An English synopsis is available for foreign subscribers. Issue No.46 was published for September 1997.

'Il Notiziario I.P.M.S.'
[IPMS-Italy, ISSN ? ]

The Italian branch magazine was founded in 1968 and has a quarterly publication. Articles are written by members in order to share the results of researching upon a specific matter (mainly about italian subjects) or, more commonly, to tell personal experiences about modelling subjects. A general plastic modelling magazine, but the contents has a significant bias towards aircraft.
IPMS Italy also publish 'Flash IPMS', a bimonthly text-only bulletin used to inform members about latest market news, shows, competitions, kitswaps and events of various interests, besides to opinions' coloumns, technical tips, kit reviews, advertisements, and all the official communications of the Association to its members.
