‘Air Combat 1939-1945’ was a largely pictorial magazine focusing on specific aircraft, units, battles, etc of World War II. It was liberally illustrated throughout, with scarce photographs of the aircraft made famous during the war, histories of some of the fighting squadrons, and, for the modeller, details of markings and colours of aircraft. A4 size, printed on glossy paper, with 28-32 pages and about 50 b+w photos in each issue. A number of special editions were also issued. It was published between 1968 and February 1973.
