First issue dated March-May 1987. Initially called ‘Air Display’ but added ‘International’ to the title for Issue 5 March-May 1988. Launched as the Ian Allan group’s response to the increasing popularity of rival UK magazines ‘Flypast’ and ‘Aeroplane Monthly’, which devoted considerable page space to air shows and aircraft preservation.
A glossy A4 size magazine dedicated to air shows, aircraft museums and the vintage aircraft scene. About 38 pages in each issue, with many large b+w/colour photos. Several short articles in each issue, plus listings of UK and overseas air events. Increased frequency of publication to bi-monthly in mid 1991. Amalgamated into ‘Aircraft Illustrated’ during late 1995. Edited by Peter R March.
