Remarks
Japanese Information International (JII) is a Special Interest Group (SIG) associated with the International Plastic Modellers Society (IPMS). JII is dedicated to the study of the Japanese military aviation 1900-1945. It gathers historians, modellers and enthusiasts from around the world, including top experts on Japanese aviation. JII publishes a magazine called ‘Asahi Journal’ roughly twice a year. Each issue covers a particular military aircraft, ship or armour subject in depth. It also includes regular features, such as kit and book reviews and minor news and research results. In addition, Open Forum provides members with a platform to ask questions and provide answers, often beyond the scope of published references. The magazine is illustrated with original line drawings, about 24 b&w profiles, and photographs. Recent issues have featured one page illustrated in colour. ‘Asahi Journal’ publishes information not seen in English elsewhere. Vol.4 No.4 was dated December 1, 2001. No evidence of publication continuing after this issue. Further information: website: Asahi Journal
