Subtitled ‘The Oldest American Aeronautical Magazine’. A weekly news magazine with lots of articles, photos and adverts. First published in 1916. The 1 June 1920 edition was entitled ‘Aviation & Aeronautical Engineering’ with 32 pages. It was later re-titled ‘Aviation & Aircraft Journal’ (by 7 February 1921) with 30 pages. By 29 Oct 1923 (1922?) it was called just ‘Aviation’.

In July 1947 it was renamed ‘Aviation Week’ (see below). After 1933 each issue typically had 70-120 pages. Vol.22 No.2 was dated 30 May 1927. Roughly A4 size pages.
