Remarks
‘Aviation Quarterly’ was a high quality historical aviation magazine. It featured a varied selection of subjects, from profiles of interesting aviation personalities to specific aircraft types, often focusing on the inter-war ‘Golden Age’ of aviation in the USA. It appeared in landscape format, hardback binding, with 92-184 pages each. It was profusely illustrated with excellent large b+w and full page colour photos. The title went though a number of editors: Micheal E Dunbar (1/1 to 1/3), Richard Bradley Bierman (1/4 to 3/1), David A Hadeler (3/2 to 5/4), Richard Bradley Bierman (6/1 to 7/1), Sandra Barrick Bierman (7/2 to 8/1), Frank B Thornburg (8/2 to 8/4 & 9/2), George E Stanley (9/1). It ceased publication after Vol.9 No.2 in late 1989/early 1990. [*] Contents Listing, Vol.1 No.1 to Vol.9 No.1
