A former East German publication which survived the integration with West Germany. Now subtitled Magazin fur Luft- und Raumfahrt. A general interest magazine covering both air and space topics, in the old days it often contained features on Warsaw Pact aircraft and had a greater emphasis on aviation sports such as gliding and parachuting. Well produced with many b+w and colour photos. Privatised after unification and still doing well. A bi-monthly (?), covering topics in greater depth, appears as Flieger Revue extra.
First published in March 1953. Published by Militär-Verlag der DDR for much of its life, later Flugverlag Berolina [ISSN 0001-9445] before switching to the current publisher.
