Subtitled Flugwelt International. General interest aerospace magazine. Founded in 1956, Flug Revue is now part of Motor-Presse Stuttgart, Europe`s largest specialist magazine publishing group – along with sister publications the monthly aerokurier International and bi-monthly Klassiker der Luftfahrt. Flug Revue bills itself as the ‘best-selling aerospace publication in German-speaking Europe’ and, according to the Motor-Presse website, over 42,000 copies were sold in the last quarter of 2002. It states its target audience as being all those with an enthusiasm for aerospace, but above all those who are active in the industry – its decision makers in ministries and industry management level.

A glossy A4 size publication with 98 pages each. Illustrated with many b+w and colour photos and some 3-view line drawings. Focuses on air transport, executive, business and military aviation, as well as aerospace technology and research. The contents mainly comprises news and feature articles on current developments in world and German civil/military aviation and space/industry plus one historical feature profiling a single aircraft type.
Originally published by ‘Vereinigte Motor-Verlage’ but the name of the publishing company was changed in the late 1990s. The text is German only, but sister publications are also produced in Brazil (Aviao Revue) and Spain (Avion Revue).
