Remarks
‘Ghost Wings’ magazine focuses on US military aviation history. It is printed on glossy paper with plenty of colour illustrations. Each issue is packed with feature articles on subjects ranging from WWII to Vietnam and contemporary interviews with authors, aviation artists and reports on aviation commemorative events. Regular departments include book reviews, museum profiles, aviation artwork profiles, etc. A major theme of ‘Ghost Wings’ is the personalities behind the aircraft. The individuals who fly, design, build, or maintain them are well covered. Early issues had 48 pages, but this has gradually increased to 56 in recent issues. ‘Ghost Wings’ magazine was first published in May 1999, as a development of the ‘Ghost Wings Newsletter’ circulated since 1994.
