‘Jets’ was a full-colour glossy magazine focusing on civil and military jet-powered aircraft from the dawn of the jet age to the present day. Turboprop and rocket-powered aircraft were also included. Each issue featured a classic cutaway line drawing from ‘The Aeroplane’ collection, together with colour profile drawings and numerous photographs.
Originally launched as ‘Jets Monthly‘, with effect From the September/October 2012 issue (No.19), the magazine became known simply as ‘Jets’, the switch to bi-monthly publication rendering the ‘Monthly’ in the old title redundant. Technically, the change in title should have been reflected in a change in ISSN, but this appears not to have happened.
In September 2014 Key Publishing acquired the aviation magazine portfolio from Kelsey Publishing, including ‘Jets’. After the July/August 2016 issue (No. 46) the magazine was incorporated into ‘Aviation News‘ and ceased publication.
First issue on sale September 2012. Published bi-monthly until issue No.46 (July/August 2016), after which it ceased publication.
