The Solent Aviation Society was founded in 1981, by a small group of aviation enthusiasts who got together to try and produce a magazine to replace those of other clubs which had started but quickly finished. The first issue of ‘Osprey’ was dated May-June 1981. The magazine later became monthly. A 20 page A4 size magazine which gives details of aircraft movement both in the UK and abroad.
