Sub-titled ‘The International Review of Piston-Engined and Turboprop Transport Aircraft’. A magazine entirely devoted to the history and activities of (mostly civilian) propeller-driven transport aircraft around the world. Each issue includes: Prop news, The Independents (news of UK prop activities), over 100 black & white pictures, a centre spread colour section and in-depth features and historic articles by leading writers.
The first issue was dated January-March 1979. Launched as a quarterly, it increased frequency to bi-monthly sometime after it’s launch. Ceased publication in 1984 with the sudden death of the founder-editor, the aviation photographer Stephen Piercey, but relaunched in 1985 as a quarterly under Tony Merton Jones. A4 size glossy, many b+w/colour photos.
