‘Strobe’ was established to provide up-to-date and topical military aviation information. It was divided into four main sections: British Review, The Ops Board – exercises and deployments, Overseas Forces and Tour Reports. Each section listed resident aircraft and movements at selected air bases. An A5 size magazine with about 20 pages in earleir issues and 26-30 pages in later issues (from 1994). No illustrations. First launched in November 1987. Issue 73 was dated December 1993. Sold to Military Aircraft Photographs (MAP) in 1996 and renamed ‘Military Aviation Review’ (see above).
