Subtitled ‘For the Aviation Enthusiast’. The AutoPILOT magazine is a Georgia-based publication for the aviation enthusiast. It’s goal is to promote and support general aviation in the local community. The Georgia edition was launched circa 2001, and a Florida-specific edition was launched in mid-2003. The magazine is unique in that it’s focus is on the human side of aviation. In place of the usual technical features on aircraft and avionics, the contents highlights the lives and contributions of the people who have helped make aviation the greatest industry in the world. It features stories about local pilots and local general aviation airports. Typical contents includes regular features entitled Hangar Talk, Airport Spotlight, Places to Visit, IFR Clinic and CFI Checklist and Pilot’s Corner.
