‘US Aviator’ was another magazine covering general aviation and private flying. It was known for its hard-hitting editorials, expert flight reports, sense of humor and honesty. It was founded and edited by the somewhat controversial Jim Campbell. The first issue appeared in December 1989 under the title ‘The Gulf Coast Aviator’, it changed it’s name to the current title circa 1991. ‘US Aviator’ ceased publication in late 1998.
