Description
The Vintage Aircraft Club is a supporting body for owners, restorers, pilots and enthusiasts of vintage light aircraft. The present Vintage Aircraft Club has developed from the Vintage Aircraft Group, which was formed in 1964. The change of name in 1974 reflected the expanding membership and scope of the club. The VAG published a quarterly newsletter called ‘Vintage News’ from 1964 which was continued under the VAC. In 1984 this newsletter was replaced by an annual full colour 64-page A4 size magazine also called ‘Vintage News’, and a black and white A5 sized quarterly Newsletter. ‘Vintage News’ was published in November each year and covered the events and items of interest relating to the VAC. Both publications were replaced by ‘Vintage and Classic’ magazine in 2013.
