‘Windsock International’ is a magazine for World War One aeroplane enthusiasts and scale modellers. It is notable for the feature articles on WW1 aircraft types and markings written by the acknowledged experts in their field. It also includes authoritative reviews of WWI kits, books and other products. An A4 size magazine illustrated with colour pages, archive photos and scale drawings. Initially published quarterly, the first issue was dated January 1985, and entitled ‘Wind-Sock’ with a hyphen. The subtitle at this time was: The Quarterly Newsletter For World War One Scale Modellers. The magazine went bi-monthly in 1991. It is edited and published by the former editor of ‘Scale Models’, Ray Rimell.
