(Spotting Group Volkel - SGV)

A quarterly spotters magazine published by the Spotting Group Volkel (SGV). SGV was founded in 1985 as an association under Dutch law for aircraft spotters, focusing on military aviation. SGV has become one of the largest aviation enthusiasts groups in the Netherlands with almost 400 members. SGV publishes a magazine, called AIM. It is published four times a year, and each issue has between 70 and 90 pages.
The magazine is in the Dutch language, and the editorial team tries to produce an article for each of the following sections: Volkel movements (Wat hebben we gemist in..) - Volkel movements of the last three months, Past times (Vervlogen Volkel tijden) - Volkel movements of the past, Aircraft recognition (Typeherkenning) - A detailed look at a specific aircraft type and all its versions, Airfield directions (Follow Me) - A detailed guide to the air bases in a specific country, Technology (Technische Dienst) - A look at the technology of military aviation, Badges and units (ID) - The badges and markings of a specific air arm, Funny stories (Spot er maar mee) - Some humorous and less humorous spotters' stories, Trip reports (Globetrotters) - Extensive reports of spotting trips all over the world, SGV visits (Roadrunners) - Reports of group visits organised by Spotting Group Volkel, Various (Varia) - Articles of a highly varied nature.

Bi-monthly spotters magazine, with some 60 pages in each issue. 'Centerline' was the official magazine of the Valkenburg Aircraft Spotters Foundation (SVVS) and was exclusively distributed amongst the contributors of the foundation. 'Centerline' was published six times a year and contained the following sections: Valkenburg aircraft movements - a review of all military movements at the one and only Naval Air Station for fixed wing aircraft in The Netherlands (includes full details of serials, aircraft types and callsigns), Royal Netherlands Navy Aviation News - the latest news about Europe's largest P-3 fleet and Valkenburg NAS, Military Aviation News - some of the latest news and interesting facts on worldwide military aviation, Spotter Reports - travel reports written by local Valkenburg spotters on their trips around the world's military airfields (including movements), P-3 Orion News - two-monthly update on the Lockheed Martin P-3 Orion compiled by the P-3 specialists of the P-3 Orion Research Group, Features - all sorts of aviation subjects. Articles about aircraft types, air forces, squadrons, etc. Included many photographs. SVVS was founded in 1984. Sadly the closure of NAS Valkenburg brought about a decline in membership and SVVS disbanded in Autumn 2007.

A bi-monthly spotters magazine, with about 52 pages in each issue. Between April 1988 and December 1993, GRAS published a magazine called 'Runway 28', mostly filled with spotters reports. In January 1995, a new magazine called 'Take Off' was launched, with much wider scope and improved production quality. Contents includes: THG News - latest news of the KLUs Tactical Helicopter Group, Gilze-Rijen movements, In The Loop - Dutch military aviation news, various articles, road runners - reports from abroad, radio scanner reports, Gilze-Rijen history. Initially published bi-monthly, but quarterly from 2002. Illustrated with photographs.
