'Military Aviation Review'
[Brian Pickering, No ISSN]
Launched in May 1976 to complement the 'Military Aircraft Photographs' business run by the publisher. A magazine covering postwar military aviation worldwide - although the emphasis was on the UK and USA in the 1950s and 1960s. Initially published monthly, from February/March 1981 it became bi-monthly. A4 size publication, with 24 pages each (or 28 pages Nov 1978-June 1979) and 48 pages in the bi-monthly issues, it featured many b+w photos and plenty of serial number and unit details. The February/March 1981 issue also marked a minor change in editorial policy as the timescale covered was expanded to include pre-1946 military aviation. The last issue was dated August/September 1982. The title was then sold to Midland Counties Publications, who immediately closed it down - god knows why.
