'Airport World'

Subtitled The Magazine of the Airports Council International. The Airports Council International (ACI) is the international association of the world’s airports. It has over 550 international airports and airport authorities, running over 1,400 airports in more than 165 countries. Launched in 1995, and published six times a year, 'Airport World' is the official magazine of the ACI. It's primary aim is to provide a forum for airport-related management issues, a vehicle for airports to promote and market themselves, and a direct route for suppliers of products and services to airports.
Interviews with the top management at airports around the world as well as exclusive analyses of ACI data make up a major proportion of the magazine's contents. Editorial features include: Passenger and cargo services; Concessions and real estate; Infrastructure and engineering; Information Technology; Construction and design; Finance and planning; Air traffic control; Project watch; Environment; Security; News. The editor is Joe Bates.

'Combat Report'

Subtitled 'The Journal of Military Aviation'. The magazine contents featured articles on a variety of military aviation topics, from WW1 to the present day, together with book, video and model kit reviews. A4 size publication with 48 pages in each issue, illustrated with b+w photos and colour profiles. Edited by the well known author Jerry Scutts. Only four issues published: November/December 1986 to May/June 1987.

'Defence & Public Service Helicopter'

'Defence Helicopter' (ISSN 0963-116X) was launched in 1982 as the only international magazine dedicated to military helicopters. It was intended to provide a unique focus for all those involved in manufacturing, supplying and purchasing helicopters for military use. Under this title it was a glossy A4 size quarterly publication with 56 pages each, illustrated by many colour photos and some diagrams. In 2003 it merged with sister title 'Helicopter World' to become the bi-monthly 'Defence & Public Service Helicopter'.
As well as regular news analysis, the magazine provides exclusive in-depth operational and technical features, interviews with key military and industry figures, new product information and authoritative comment - plus a range of special features on key industry issues. Coverage of public service helicopters is focused on special quarterly supplements which provide in-depth coverage of the subject using the resources previously employed with 'Helicopter World' magazine. Known for a while as 'Defence Helicopter World' [ISSN: 0263-5062]?

'Fly Gyro!' was a magazine for autogyro, gyrocopter, rotorcraft and gyroplane enthusiasts worldwide. Edited by a very active gyro flyer, it included the latest interesting ideas, experiments and gyro designs - worldwide; lists of gyro events all over the world, and who to contact for more information; Photos and reports; Articles on some of the rare and unusual machines from the past; Gyros for sale; Useful Tips & Tricks; Contact details for your National Gyro Organization; Interviews with interesting and famous gyro personalities and designers. 22 pages A4 size in each issue, illustrated throughout with b+w photos, but with colour covers. Issue 1 was dated September/October 2000. Ceased publication in 2002 circa issue 10.

A helicopter business magazine rather than for one aimed at enthusiasts. Most of the magazine comprises a series of news items on various topics associated with the helicopter industry and helicopter operators. The contents includes world news, North Sea news, people, feature articles, industry news, BHAB/HAI news, flight safety, civil sales, accidents etc. A4 size publication with 22-30 pages each issue, illustrated with b+w photos. First published June-July 1977. Edited by Elfan ap Rees.

'Microlight Flying'

'Microlight Flying' magazine is the official publication of The British Microlight Aircraft Assocation (BMAA). Published bi-monthly, it is mailed to every member of the BMAA as part of their membership deal. It features microlight competitions, world-wide flights, news, technical information, new products, flight tests, buyers guides, exhibitions and fly-ins, topical issues, and an extensive classified section. It was first published in 1980.

Magazine covering world military aviation. 'Militair News' was launched to provide a regular update to the comprehensive and detailed book on world air forces called 'Militair 82'. The contents of the magazine comprised: world air forces news, historical data, air force profiles, markings, production listings, serial lists and updates to the book. 'Unmanned Vehicles' describes itself as the the world’s leading independent publication for the Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) industry. It provides in-depth and up-to-date coverage of technology developments, news, procurement data and civil/commercial market opportunities. A glossy A4 size publication with many illustrations. Launched as a quarterly in 2000(?), from 2003 'Unmanned Vehicles' increased it's publishing frequency to bi-monthly, to meet the increasing interest in this type of vehicle.

'USCAN - U.S. Civil Aircraft News'

A magazine dedicated to the current US Civil Aircraft Register. It included register extracts detailing hundreds of aircraft with type, c/n, owner, previous identities etc for specific aircraft types. 28 pages in each issue. Initially bi-monthly, but later issued three times a year. Ceased publication circa 1980. Edited by John Andrade.

'Windsock International'

'Windsock International' is a magazine for World War One aeroplane enthusiasts and scale modellers. It is notable for the feature articles on WW1 aircraft types and markings written by the acknowledged experts in their field. It also includes authoritative reviews of WWI kits, books and other products. An A4 size magazine illustrated with colour pages, archive photos and scale drawings. Initially published quarterly, the first issue was dated January 1985, and entitled 'Wind-Sock' with a hyphen. The subtitle at this time was: The Quarterly Newsletter For World War One Scale Modellers. The magazine went bi-monthly in 1991. It is edited and published by the former editor of 'Scale Models', Ray Rimell.
