It features in-depth coverage of individual airlines, focusing on where they have been, where they are now and where they hope to go in the future. On average, ATW publishes 60 of these features yearly. ATW covers U.S. major and international airlines as well as various specialty carriers. The latest technology advances in airframes and engines are covered - every major new transport aircraft being developed receives coverage, including information about the market it was designed for, who is buying it and why.
ATW provides continuous coverage of industry financing and how the changing nature of financing impacts future aircraft acquisitions. First published in June 1966 in Sweden (in English), but the editor moved to the USA in March 1977. Basically a spotters magazine, with worldwide reports on aircraft movements and registration changes. Initially 24-32 pages each issue, but in recent years the average monthly size is between 64 and 76 pages. An A5 size publication with some b+w photos.
Typical content comprises: Airline & Route News, Aircraft Casualties, Info Requests, Civil Aviation News. The Civil Aviation News section normally takes up at least half of each issue, and features registration changes and production list updates in construction number order. A Military News & Info section is occasionally included, and a Readers Corner section appeared in every issue until about issue 200. The editor and publisher is Bo-Göran Lundkvist.

The Civil Air Patrol was established on December 1, 1941, just days before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. It is an organisation of volunteer private pilots who use their aircraft in support of full-time civil and military agencies. Today it provides 95% of the US’s inland search and rescue capability.
'Civil Air Patrol News' is a tabloid newspaper covering the activities of the CAP around the country. 'Military Aircraft Preview'

Subtitled: The Modellers Guide to New Products. An American monthly which first appeared in 1993, it had a very different approach to reviewing model kits; they were assembled without paint. Numerous black and white photos showed you exactly what to expect on opening a box. Colour was reserved for showing decals. The weak feature of Military Aircraft Preview was that it presented no photographs or drawings of the real thing so the modeller was unable to judge the accuracy of a kit. Volume 1 Number 7 was dated July 1993.

The first issue was published in October 1919, and it remained a monthly publication until the February 1983 issue. It switched to bi-monthly from the March-April 1983 issue.

'Pacific Flyer' is a monthly aviation tabloid produced in Southern California with a decidedly different perspective on aviation and aviation publishing. It's first goal is to make sure that all the important aviation news is included each month - hard news like airport closings (or threatenings), new aircraft and techniques and the lives (and deaths) of important aviators. It also includes features and colour photo layouts on everything from hot new homebuilts to WW I replicas to authentic rebuilds, plus interviews with the characters who make up aviation. Interspersed between these features are cartoons, humour, satire, flight tests, airshow coverage, personality profiles and more. 'Pacific Flyer' was 27 years old in 2004.
