Subscription Only - Specific Societies

 
A number of the smaller aviation-related societies focus on a single topic. These include the following:

'Cessna Owner'
[Cessna Owner Organization, ISSN 0745-3523]

The Cessna Owner Organization was formed in 1975 to support private owners of Cessna light aircraft. Members receive a monthly magazine which includes flying experiences, suggested routes to fly, profiles of Cessna pilots, Questions Answered etc.

'Navioneer'
[American Navion Society, ISSN 0028-1581]

The American Navion Society was founded in Autumn 1960 to bring together the owners of Ryan Navion aircraft. Members receive a bi-monthly magazine which was first published in December 1960. The magazine includes news and an events diary, features on members aircraft, technical articles, small ads etc.

'Pipers Magazine'
[Piper Owner Society, ISSN ?]

The Piper Owner Society was formed in 1987 to support private owners of all models of Piper light aircraft. Members receive a full colour monthly magazine which includes flying experiences, aircraft parts explained, historical features, Questions Answered etc.

'Sabre Jet Classics'
[F-86 Sabre Pilots Association, ISSN ?]

The F-86 Sabre Pilots Association was formed in 1981, exclusively for former F-86 Sabre pilots. "The stated goals of the association are to perpetuate the history of the F-86 Sabre, the units to which she belonged and the pilots who flew her. A second goal is to link old Sabre jocks with their buddies. The third goal is to perpetuate an accurate, patriotic portrayal of our national history and heritage". Three issues of the official magazine, 'Sabre Jet Classics' is published each year - subscriptions from non-members are accepted. The magazine is edited by Larry Davis. Each issue contains a feature on a specific variant of the Sabre, plus numerous anecdotes and first person accounts of flying the Sabre in peace and war. Volume 1 Number 1 was dated Spring 1992 and the magazine was published quarterly for the first two volumes, before switching to three issues a year.

'The Aerostar Log'
[Aerostar Owners Association, ISSN ?]

The Association offers the owners of Piper Aerostars an invaluable source of information concerning the care and operation of this fine aircraft. The Association keeps in touch with all it's members through its magazine 'The Aerostar Log', a full-color journal filled with information on: Operating tips and techniques; Aviation Alerts; NTSB Reports; NASA Reports; Service Difficulty Reports; New products; Upgrades to the airplane; Refurbishing information; Technical Notes; Safety Issues; Training information; Member comments and stories on the ususal and unusual missions of the airplane; Advertising from the vendors to the Aerostar, and other important facts for the operator.

'Twin Bonanza Association News'
[Twin Bonanza Association, ISSN ?]

The Twin Bonanza Association is the only association dedicated to the historical preservation of the Civilian Beech Model 50 and Military L-23/U-8 series of aircraft.

The Association exists to ensure that the chronicle of this exceptional flying machine will be properly documented so that it will take its rightful place in aviation history. It shares experiences and information regarding such things as maintenance, parts availability, pilot techniques, etc. in a quarterly Newsletter. You do not have to be an aircraft owner or pilot to become a member. Volume XIV No.2 was published in 1999.
