AeroVenture
(An Unofficial Guide)

What's Here:

First established at Home Farm, Firbeck near Worksop, as the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum (SYAM), in late 2000 the museum moved to a new larger site at the former RAF Doncaster and adopted the name AeroVenture. This move has allowed the use of a surviving WW2 RAF hangar and other wartime buildings on the site, bringing all of the collection under cover for the first time. An extensive restoration programme is now underway. An large collection of aero engines and associated equipment is also on show, together with displays on the history of RAF Doncaster and local RAF Squadrons. The collection of the Yorkshire Helicopter Preservation Group is also displayed on this site.
