Silk Mill - Derby's Museum of Industrial and History

What's Here:

The Derby Industrial Museum features an extensive aero engine gallery, reflecting the products of local producer Rolls-Royce. The well presented exhibits range from an early Eagle to a modern RB.211 turbofan. The museum itself is housed in one of the world's first modern factories, dating from 1717. Other galleries feature many other aspects of Derby's rich industrial heritage.

Opening Hours:

Open Monday 11.00 am to 5.00 pm, Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 am to 5.00 pm, Sundays and Bank Holidays 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Admission:

Free.
