What's Here:
Formerly known as the Vallance Byways Collection and then the Peter Vallance Collection, this interesting assembly of aircraft is currently only open at limited times during the year. The two Shackletons have their engines run-up from time to time. Located in some wooden out-buildings is a display of aircraft memorabilia, avionics units, engines and model aircraft. Location:At Charlwood in Surrey, not far from Gatwick Airport. Follow the Gatwick Airport signs from Junction 9 of the M23, past both terminals onto the A217 towards Reigate, but take the first turning left towards Charlwood. Upon reaching Charlwood take the first left. The museum is located immediately on the left. Admission:A 'donation' of £3.50 for Adults and £2.50 for Children will asked for to help with 'costs'.
