Firepower - The Museum of the Royal Artillery

What's Here:

The Museum of the Royal Artillery is now called 'Firepower'. Following a major refurbishment, the new-look museum shows the science and technology of gunnery from the earliest times to the present day. New multimedia displays and interactive hands-on exhibits are featured. An Auster AOP.9 takes centre stage in a display tracing the history of airborne artillery spotting and aerial reconnaissance.

Location:

Signposted off the A205 South Circular, at The Farndale Building off Plumstead Road, Woolwich. Just along the riverside from the Woolwich Ferry. Note: 'The Rotunda' is now closed. See this location on Microsoft Live Search Maps

Opening Hours:

Open Friday to Sunday 10.30 am to 5.00 pm, November to end of March; Wednesday to Sunday 10.30 am to 5.00 pm, April to end of October. Open all school holidays and Bank Holidays. Closed Christmas and New Year.

Admission:

Adults £5.00, Children £2.50, Concessions £4.50. Group discounts are available.

Toilets, Parking, Souvenir shop, Cafe, Access for the disabled.
