What’s Here
Established in 1999 from the former Classic Jets Museum, this museum houses a range of airframes from the 1950s and 1960s. The museum was forced to close in late 2007 to accomodate infrastructure development at the airport, but was able to reopen 0n 24 October 2008 at a new location not far from the previous site. Unfortunately the aircraft are now exposed to the open air and are no longer housed in a hangar.
Directions
At Bournemouth International Airport, Hurn, west of the A338, north of Bournemouth in Dorset. On the B3073 Bournemouth International Airport perimeter road – follow the signs to ‘Adventure Wonderland’.
Approaching from the A338 directon, with the airport on your right, you will see a Vulcan nose on the left, followed a sign for ‘Adventure Wonderland’. Taking the first left turning, the road doubles back and then turns right. You will see the museum on the left.
