Hi
I’m curatorial advisor to another Martello Museum- Seaford
Had some scraps of aluminium come up on the shore at nearby Cuckmere after gale- records show a Mustang crashed and burnt out in WW2 just yards away
The ally may have some adhering white paint- plane or just bits of dumped old fridge?!
Can u help? Thanks

I visited the museum back around 1996 you had a dunkirk display upstairs which interested me. Whilst looking around i became aware of a man standing next to me wearing a duffle type coat with a white beard. It suddenly appeared to be the man whos picture and story i was reading about. He vansihed as quick as he appeared i walked to the top of the stairs and asked my wife if anyone had come down the stairs and she sai no. I firmly believe i saw the spirit of this man and wondered if anyone else ever reported a similar or same experience. Ian Robery

visited the museum yesterday absolutely briliant and many thanks to our guide Bill very imformative . in response to the above comment i did feel someone else was permanently with us around the museum and my friend steve who was with me said several times that he heard strange things .
The collection is one of the best i have visited and is so personal nearly every item has a history explained so becomes real not just an exhibit , as an aviation museum this puts duxford and omaka into the shadows as a perfectly restored plane is good but it was the men who controlled these machines and their stories that are the basis of the collection at point clear martello
