What’s Here

The Museum of the Royal Artillery is now called ‘Firepower’. Following a major refurbishment, the new-look museum shows the science and technology of gunnery from the earliest times to the present day. New multimedia displays and interactive hands-on exhibits are featured. An Auster AOP.9 takes centre stage in a display tracing the history of airborne artillery spotting and aerial reconnaissance.

Directions

Signposted off the A205 South Circular, at The Farndale Building off Plumstead Road, Woolwich. Just along the riverside from the Woolwich Ferry. Note: ‘The Rotunda’ is now closed.

Opening Hours:

Open Tuesday to Saturday 10.00 am to 5.00 pm (last admission 4.00 pm). Closed Sunday & Monday. Closed Christmas and New Year.
