What’s Here

Amongst over 350 motor vehicles and other transport exhibits can be found a few aviation artefacts. Hanging from the roof is a Flying Flea and elsewhere a Saro Skeeter helicopter can be found. A collection of over 400 model aircraft can also bee seen here. Another attraction is the waterline upwards full-size replica of Captain Cook’s ship ‘Endeavour’. The museum is co-located at a garden centre, with a coffee shop. This location was known as Stondon Transport Museum until late 2012.

Directions

Lower Stondon is on the A600 between Hitchin and Shefford. Follow the signposts from the roundabout in the centre of Lower Stondon, towards Shillington. After about half a mile you will see the museum on the left hand side.
