What’s Here
Original 1930′s agricultural research station in the middle of the Negev desert. Used as Palmachim base during the War of Independence. Improvised nearby airstrips ‘Dust 1′ and ‘Dust2′ used for CASEVAC flights. Southern-most airstrips during the War of Independence. Underground facilities now restored to original condition as a museum.

On a nearby farm can be found another Douglas C-47 Dakota. Serial 03 was the original Revivim museum aircraft, until it was severely damaged in a storm a few years ago. Curiously, the tail badge is for the ‘Dragon’ squadron, which flies attack aircraft such as the A-4 Skyhawk.
