What’s Here

First opened in March 2008, the Wings Museum is housed in a former WW2 hangar at the former RAF Redhill. It has many displays and exhibits which illustrate the vital role played of the British Armed Services during World War Two. These includes the remains of Hampden P1273 which was lost on operations in 1942 and of a Lockheed F-5B Lightning which crashed in Wiltshire. Two complete aircraft and substantial sections of two more are undergoing on-site restoration to display condition.

Directions

The aerodrome is signed from the A25, sout-east of Redhill on a minor road to the south of South Nutfield. The museum is signposted from the main entrance to the aerodrome, off Kings Mill Lane. See this location on Microsoft Live Search Maps
