  1. the Saudi Land Forces Aviation Command was officially created much earlier. Either 1983 or 1984 but received its first arcraft several years later. An international competition was organised 1984 in KSA by SLFAC in order to select the scout helicopter. The organisation of the competition which lasted one month during August was German IABG responsibility. Four aircraft : Bell, BO 105, Agusta 109 and Gazelle. The winner was ….BO 105 in spite its very bad performance. The real first was Gazelle. The worst was Bell which will be purchased years later.
I was at that time AĆ©rospatiale Helicopter Division sales managerfor KSA and in charge of the demo.
