History
Narrative Summary
Mount Isa Community Helicopter was launched in 2007. It was later renamed the North Queensland Rescue Helicopter Service. Operations were forced to close in 2009 after the leased helicopter had to be returned. Flying was able to resume circa 2010 with a second-hand Bo 105, with help from key sponsor RACQ. A new Bo 105 was obtained in 2012. On 1 July 2015 the service merged with CareFlight.
