History
Narrative Summary
In late 1997 the Government of Tasmania awarded the Royal Flying Doctor Service a contract to provide an aerial ambulance service in Tasmania, under the administration of Ambulance Tasmania. Beech King Air 200 VH-MSM was dedicated to this task. The contract with RFDS was renewed in 2004. In 2011 the RFDS won a new contract by undertaking to replace the existing aircraft with a new machine operating in Ambulance Tasmania colours.
