Three Turbo Beavers obtained in 1967. Retired in 1996. All Turbo Beavers were new-build aircraft and not conversions of existing aircraft. The first example was acquired for Peace River, Alberta.

Cessna 182Q Skylane

History

One Cessna 182Q obtained in 1990, followed by another in 1993. C-GHGJ is now operated by North Bay Flying Club, while C-GFZV was sold to a private owner in 2008.

De Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver

History

The first de Havilland Beaver was obtained in 1949. In 1950 another Beaver was acquired which was deployed along the coast of British Columbia. A total of twelve Beavers were eventually obtained. The last example was retired in 1986.

de Havilland D.H.90 Dragonfly
in Royal Canadian Mounted Police Service

History

Four Dragonflies obtained in 1937. Used to counter rum-running off the Nova Scotia coast. Impressed into the RCAF in 1940 and serialled in the block 7623-7628. All but one were scrapped at the end of the war. These machines had a dorsal fin extension, to increase stability because of their interchangeable float/wheel undercarriages.
