St John Papua New Guinea is a non-governmental organisation which is part of the international charity known as the Order of St John. The Papua New Guinea branch was first established in the 1960s. St John runs an ambulance service under an agreement with the Department of Health. Between 2007 and 2010, at least, St John PNG operated an emergency rescue helicopter. This now appears to have been withdrawn.
