History

The 2do Escuadrón Aéreo was formed as 2do Escuadrón de Helicópteros on 17.5.1969 with 3 Hiller FH.1100. The unit received some UH-1 Iroquois during the following years and moved to Base Aérea Teniente Coronel Jorge Jurado (the former USAF base Albrook AFS) on 7.5.1986.
