The national insignia for Burma is not based on the national flag, but is instead derived from the Air Force Ensign. The colours of blue, white and yellow are marked on the wings and fuselage in a triangular marking, and on the fin as a rectangular fin flash. Some combat aircraft carry an elongated version of the fin flash, aligned with the leading edge of the fin. Only transport aircraft carry service titles, and these are in Burmese script.
