Narrative Summary:
After the restoration of democracy, VIP transport was provided by the VIP Squadron of the RCAF. In 1997 the VIP role was taken over by the government - called the Council of Ministers - with regular transport now provided by the Transport Squadron. The Cambodian Council of Ministers Aviation Unit currently operates a small number of aircraft for VIP transport and administration purposes. All aircraft carry civilian markings.

The Cambodian Council of Ministers aircraft are used primarily for VIP transport and administration purposes. The Eurocopter helicopters are reported to have been attached to Prime Minister Hun Sen's personal body guard unit.
