Douglas DC-3/C-47 Dakota ('Pe're')
Three ex-civil DC-3 obtained Summer 1948. Used by 103 sqn for bomber and freight transport role. Total of thirty-four plus obtained 1948-60 of C-47, C-53 and DC-3 variants. Withdrawn from service in January 2001. At least one converted to RC-47 configuration for ELINT operations and named 'Barvaz', meaning Mallard in Hebrew.

Douglas C-54 Skymaster
One C-54 chartered from AOA March 1948 for cargo transport - ferrying arms and supplies from Zatec. Two C-54D obtained on 15 May 1948 for cargo transport. Operated by LATA in civil markings and referred to as DC-4s, (although that type has a different cargo door position). 2 aircraft used by 9 September 1948. Withdrawn when? No Hebrew name given.

Douglas DC-5
One DC-5 obtained in June 1948. ex-Pan American, after WW2 sold for scrap but refurbished and re-registered as VH-ARD. Used by 103 sqn for cargo transport and bomber roles. Withdrawn in 1949 and scrapped in 1955. No Hebrew name given.
