Mikoyan MiG-15UTI/Shenyang FT-2 * Retired *
Four Soviet-built MiG-15UTI delivered in crates aboard ship on 31 January 1955, and assembled during April 1955. Unlike the MiG-15bis delivered at the same time, these aircraft were new-build examples. These were followed by four Czech-built CS.102 and four FT-2 from China in 1956. Used for advanced pilot training and conversion training. Note: As stated in references 4 and 5, no MiG-15s were actually manufactured in China, and so any aircraft described as 'Shenyang FT-2' were Russian-built examples re-exported.
Circa 2000 the type was withdrawn from service and in 2002 all 13 survivors were put up for sale.
