Shenyang FT-5 * Retired *
Eight FT-5 delivered from China in the early 1970s. The FT-5 is a Chinese-built two-seat trainer version of the Mikoyan-Gurevitch MiG-17. Used for the conversion training of F-6 pilots. The aircraft were actually manufactured at Chengdu. The FT-5 can be distinguished from the MiG-15UTI by the reduced sweep of the outer wing panels and a teardrop fairing on the right-hand side of the nose intake lip. Withdrawn in late 2005.
