Gendarmeria Nacional
Title:
Gendarmeria Nacional (National Gendarmerie)
Brief History:
The Aeronautic Direction of the Gendarmeria Nacional was
established in 1955 with three observation aircraft. During the 1960s, the
unit was renamed División de Transportes
Aéreos and received some helicopters. Today it is called Departamento de
Aviación de Gendarmeria Nacional. The assigned
aircraft and helicopters are used in border patrol, liaision, light
transport and anti-drug operations.

| The main marking is displayed in 2 positions on each side of the fuselage on aircraft
and on
helicopters. Usually the inscription "GENDARMERIA" is written on the fuselage
sides. The fin flash is displayed on the tailfin. |
